FAQ
Common questions
How is this different from Apollo or Clearbit?
Apollo, Clearbit, ZoomInfo, and the rest sell access to a static contact database that’s typically 60-90 days stale by the time you query it. Kustiq runs a live first-party pipeline for every request: Serper against public sources, Browserless for structured extraction, Claude for classification and buying-signal detection, and a real SMTP handshake against the recipient’s mail server at the moment you run the job. We don’t license or resell third-party contact lists — every record is discovered and verified fresh, which is why bounce rates and ICP drift aren’t your problem anymore.
What counts as a credit?
One credit is one unit of work inside the Kustiq pipeline. A full 4-phase Targeted Outreach prospect uses 2.50 credits: Discover (1.00), Research (0.50), Qualify (0.50), Enrich (0.50). You only pay for phases that run successfully — failed phases are refunded automatically.
How is the $0.975 price calculated?
$0.975 is 2.5 credits × $0.39 per credit at our 10,000-credit volume floor. Below that volume credits are $0.59 each, which works out to $1.475 per prospect. The full curve and tier thresholds are on the pricing page.
Where do the emails come from?
Emails are assembled from public web sources (company domains, LinkedIn, press releases, GitHub, product pages) and then verified against the recipient's own mail server via SMTP. We do not buy third-party data lists — every email is discovered and validated fresh for each run.
Can I export to Saleshandy, HubSpot, or CSV?
Yes. Pro plan prospects flow straight into Saleshandy sequences with a single click. Insight and Pro both support HubSpot contact sync and CSV export. Every prospect also ships with a Kustiq share link for research-backed outreach.
What's a buying signal?
A concrete, time-sensitive event that raises the probability a prospect is in-market: a hiring surge in a relevant role, a fresh funding round, a public tech migration, a product launch, or an executive change. Each qualified prospect includes one named signal and a short justification.
